Learn infant CPR, AED, and choking hands-on skills with Coach Allison who is an instructor with the American Red Cross. This is a non-certified course of which will help parents learn the basic skills to recognize and care for infant emergencies.

GIRL TALK:GIRLS FITNESS GROUP:

Girl talk: Girls fitness group is a 6- week course lead by Coach Allison specifically designed to encourage, support, and educate teen girls on the importance of physical fitness in everyday like along with promoting a positive body image.

Your daughter will:

  • Reduce or eliminate cognitive distortions related to exercise and her own abilities
  • Be empowered to self-motivate
  • Learn to identify & overcome barriers
  • Build self-reliance
  • Become stronger, leaner, and faster

Adult and Pediatric first aid/CPR/AED certification course:

Receive your adult and pediatric first aid/CPR/AED certification with Coach Allison who is an instructor with the American Red Cross.
This course is a blended learning course including an online portion and a classroom skill session. The online portion MUST be completed prior to attending the in-class portion. Allow 2.5 hours to complete the online portion. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric first aid/CPR/AED of which is valid for two years.

POP FITNESS is offering CORE AND MORE for moms who are looking to introduce fitness back into their schedule or who want to start a new fitness program.

  • 15 minutes CORE session with Coach Allison

  • 1- take-home workout
  • 1- Resistance band included

This discounted session is exclusive to Potomac Pediatric families. Pediatric wellness is not just about keeping your child healthy and active but encouraging health and wellness for the entire family. We encourage attendees to team up to support one another along your fitness journeys.

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA- PERSONAL FITNESS MERIT BADGE:

Receive your Personal Fitness Merit Badge now with our Merit Badge Counselor and Health Coach Allison. With her help, each scout will reach a new understanding of what personal fitness means and all components involved. After completion, each scout will receive their signed off merit badge application to turn into their troop leader.

This merit badge consists of 4 classes:

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA- FIRST AID MERIT BADGE:

Receive your First Aid merit badge now at Potomac Pediatrics with coach Allison, our Merit Badge Counselor, Health Coach, and First aid/CPR/AED instructor with the American Red Cross.

What is First Aid? Help given to a sick or injured person until full medical treatment is available.

Your scout will identify, discuss, explain, and demonstrate all requirements for this first aid badge.

Each scout will receive a first aid kit that includes:

  • 6 Adhesive bandages
  • 1 pair of gloves
  • 2 3-by-3-inch sterile gauze pads
  • 1 roll of adhesive tape
  • 1 3-by-6-inch moleskin
  • 1 travel size of hand sanitizer
  • 1 tube of triple antibiotic ointment
  • 1 pair of medical scissors
  • 1 CPR breathing barrier
  • 1 pencil
  • 1 note pad

Course running time will depend on participation. Allow 4-4.5 hours

STROLLER STRENGTH:

Join Coach Allison and Maureen, our lactation consultant, for a mom and baby tailored workout at the Carousel in Gaithersburg.

  • Our fitness coach is trying to change the impact of fitness in the community. She will show you how easy it is to workout while you care for you child.
  • Maureen will be ready to answer any questions about feeding and baby care.

KIDZ KRAZE:

Join Coach Allison for KIDZ KRAZE. Not only will your child laugh, sweat, and have FUN; they will build confidence and get moving!
