1. Will my credit card be secure?
      a. Yes. To store your credit card on file our team member will only be swiping your card and your full credit card number will never be visible. We will only see the type of card (Visa, Mastercard, etc) and the last four digits. We are using USAepay software which provides the tightest security on the market.

    1. What if I want to use a different credit card?
      a. Not a problem. After your statement becomes available you can go to our website and pay online with the credit card you’d prefer to use. If you pay your statement balance in full your credit card on file will not be charged.

    1. What if I have questions or if there is an error on my bill?
      a. If you have any questions or concerns about your bill please contact us immediately at billing@potomacpediatrics.com or call us at (301) 279-6750. We welcome your inquiries and the opportunity to review your account with you.

    1. What if I get a new credit card?
      a. Please notify us immediately if your credit card on file is no longer valid. When you’re in the office next we will swipe your new credit card. In the meantime you will still be able to keep your account current by paying online.

    1. What if I don’t want to keep my credit card on file?
      a. In order for our practice to implement and maintain the experience for all of our patients every family will need to have a credit card on file. If a credit card is not initially kept on file you will need to plan to arrive for every appointment 10 minutes early. We will only be able to maintain caring for families that do not keep a credit card on file for short period of time and their delayed check-in process will become prohibitive in maintaining the integrity of the program and the patient experience.

  1. Why do I need to keep a credit card on file?
    a. Keeping a credit on file allows us to remove the billing from your office visit and maintain your account privacy when you’re in the office. We will be eliminating billing from the front desk zone so that any questions you have can be addressed prior to your office visit by calling or emailing us. Should we need to discuss your account we will do so in the privacy of your exam room. If you have a copay due you will not have to hand over your credit card as we will just charge the credit card on file and email you your receipt. Emailed receipts will ultimately make managing copies of these receipts easier when you have to submit them for your FSA or HSA.
